On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that throughout the past ten years, his government had accomplished more for women than all prior governments combined since independence.
Speaking at a Lakhpati Didi gathering in Jalgaon, north Maharashtra, Modi added that his government is enforcing stricter rules that will result in harsh penalties for crimes against women.
India’s brightest light when it comes to development is Maharashtra. He stated that more investment and job creation are essential to the state’s future.
After meeting Lakhpati Didis in Jalgaon, Modi announced the allocation of a Rs 2,500 crore revolving fund that will assist 48 lakh members of 4.3 lakh self-help groups.
According to Modi, the Lakhpati Didi initiative aims to empower future generations in addition to increasing the income of women.
